Boys of Summer - Just Write

August 2014 Boys Boys of Summer boys of summer add-on Journaling journaling cards Leanne Allinson

Hello Scraptastic Friends! I have had a wonderful time creating with my Boys of Summer kit this month, but more than anything, I've enjoyed documenting the stories that belong with the photos.   I am a big fan of journaling.  It helps me stay sane! LOL! Especially when my children come up to me and say, "Hey Mum! Remember that one time..."   Today I am sharing with you three layouts all with journaling included.  My stories don't necessarily have to be long but have enough detail to share the main concept behind the photo.   "My Superhero"   I...

July 4, 2013 Challenge: Use Journalling Strips

Carry On Challenge Journaling Tracy Banks video

Hi everyone, Tracy here with my first Scraptastic blog post! Happy Fourth if July to our American readers. Today I'm sharing a layout and a process video and also issuing you a challenge!   First off, here is the layout I created using the June sketch and the Carry On kit: I kept to the sketch pretty closely, but I had nowhere to put my journalling, so I added journalling strips at the top, but I cut them wonky and stapled them in place for added interest. 12X12 layout 8 Days a Week April 2013 Kit Journaling Madeline Fox

She had a way of capturing those everyday moments, and preserving them with her unique vintage style. I could pick up her books today and still be inspired. I made good use of the die-cut sheet on this page, layering several of the journaling blocks behind the photo, placing my title on another,...

Merry Christmas everyone. Michelle here. I am sharing the last of my projects for the month. These were all made with the Stocking Stuffer kit. This card was a direct scraplift from the Silhouette blog. I love the title.. Merry and Bright. It perfectly describes my son's teacher. So, this was made for and given to her.  The last few cards, I had fun with Jessica's exclusive cuts. This last project, I used the sketch you will see later this week. It was fun to use with my collage of photos from our Elf adventures last year. "Elf" was cut...

12X12 layout All of the Lights December 2012 Kit Journaling Lilith Eeckels Silhouette Cameo

This was the first word I spotted on one of the October Afternoon embellishments and I knew the All the Lights kit and Add on would work perfectly with some photos I had taken during one of our summer day trips. We went to an amusement park very close to where we live. The kids love going! Some of my favourite summer pictures were taken during this day trip!  This month we are focussing on journalling: On the first layout I wrote some journalling on a tag and slipped it into the vellum glassine bag behind the photo. If you...
