12X12 layout Everyday Is Like Sunday February 2013 Kit february kit Lilith Eeckels Truly Truly Madly Deeply

Hi there Scraptastic fans. Today is my turn to show some of the layouts I created with the February kits. I was so lucky to get both  and I love them equally. I love the fact that both are really romantic but at the same time they can be used for other themes than love or Valentine's day.

For this first layout  I played with the February stamps and some mists. I used a RESIST technique. I stamped the image onto the cardstock and then added some clear embossing powder which I heated with my heat gun. Then I applied the mists using a paint brush and dab off the excess with a baby wipe. The embossed image will appear!

On the following layout I really wanted to keep the as much of the big chevron paper visible. I think it is one of my favourite patterned papers! I added the photo to the top and created a cluster to the side. I decided to add some journaling to the bottom creating a visual triangle with the photo and the embellishment cluster and in doing so creating a path that guides the eye over the whole layout.

For my Snapshots layout I also wanted to keep as much of the beautiful Elle's Studio Patterned paper intact and I opted to place the photo and layers to the right. I also used some of the die cuts as templates to add hearts to the background paper and the SNAPSHOTS card.

Have a lovely Sunday.

So many fun tiny details: a vellum heart, candy dots, double stamping, stapled tab. I’ll have to try the resist technique — maybe on a card until I’m brave enough to try it on a LO! I always get inspired here on the Blog.
