When preparing pages for my kit, I was looking through photos on my computer. I remembered these that I had taken of my son on his rocking horse that his Grandpa made and his Grandpa's boots and hat. Converting them to Sepia tone... made them perfect for my page.
I backed Jessica's exclusive tag with some brown cardstock to make it pop, adding in some gems and foam squares to my tag and heart.
The title was cut with a die cut machine, adding in the gem star and twine to dress it up. The twine reminds me of a cowboys lasso...
While some would say the hearts and flower are not neccesarily fitting for a cowboy page, I say they are. :) His Grandpa passed away about 16 mo ago, and my boy adored his Grandpa. Being that he made the horse and I found the boots and hat and gave them to him, they fit perfectly. I do love the texture the frayed flower adds. I layered it with a tag sticker and the polaroid frame.
This month, the DT's theme or challenge is all about journaling. It is important to have the story to go with the photos. I chose to type mine up and add it to the back of my page. A little tip too... I cut the inside of my page out with my Fiskar's trimmer to stretch my paper and make it go further. I do that with as many pieces as I can. It also keeps the weight of my page down in my album.
So, how about you?? Do you journal on your pages??
