The week has just been whizzing by!!! Are you ready for the next challenge for the month?? Are you ready for this month's color challenge?? You have three color palettes to choose from to make a project with, be it a card, a page, altered project... whatever your little heart desires. :)
Here are your color palettes:
And here is my project.
I chose to use the Blue Skies (sorry kit is sold out!) color palette and focus more on the blues in the kit with the neutral tones and a pop of yellow. I also decided to do another multi photo layout and make it a double page due to the size of my photos. These are fairly recent photos too. It is always nice to get them on a page right away. I was inspired by a sketch of Susan Stringfellow's for my page.
I used the OA Sprinkler to color some of my Jillibean alphas in the kit. And don't you just love the sheet of journal tags! I cut them up and layered them. I punched a hole on either side of my jar and tied twine around it for a little extra texture and dimension. I am also loving the enamel dots in the add on.
More journal tags and some fussy cutting of the chevron paper, tags and one of the doilies on the patterned paper. I did some back stitching, using my endless supply of DMC floss from my cross stitching days, as well as some crochet thread to tie in the chipboard buttons. More of those awesome enamel dots and a bit of pen stitching as well. Did you see how I took half of the flags from the Jillibean banner bits and cut it to make it look like washi tape? I haven't quite gotten into that craze yet. So, I don't have any to match and thought I could make my own out of a sticker. Reminds me of Pebbles washi stickers. :)
So, there is your color palettes for the color challenge. There is a twist... can't let it be that easy, right? ;) If you are so up for the challenge, either use 3 or more photos on a page or try and tackle a double page. I can't wait to see your creations!! Make sure to link it to the inlinkz tool.
You have until October 31st at midnight to complete your entry for the October Challenges. The prize for the October Challenges is a $20.00 GC to the store.
