Good morning! I am very excited to write my very first blog post for Scraptastic! when I was thinking of what I would like to share this week, I decided to share one of my very first go-to inspirations when I receive a new kit, color. I love to be inspired by all the embellies and papers in a kit but sometimes I just want to play with the various colors and create around those. Sometimes, it kicks off the creating for an entire kit because there are so many color combinations you can draw from.
I am creating with the September "Just Beachy" kit this month, filled with all kinds of fun, primary colors. so I decided to look up some "primary color" inspiration to get started on today's cards. and just look at what I found....
Aren't those fun and inspiring? the "Just Beachy" kit is filled with all different shades of yellows, blues and reds and that made playing with color so fun and inspiring! I love that you could bounce the primary colors off of grey and white backgrounds, as shown with the chairs, flowers and even the paint cans, for even more impact, something I might play with next time.
I created two cards, completely inspired by pulling shades of primary colors together, reds, yellows and blues.
I love that with the primary colors, there are "shades of the primary colors" which give the card a more playful feel.
I love these tags that come in the kit, they are so fun to back with patterned paper
saltwater and sunshine card
love this little sailboat, it is sooo cute♥
I decided to bounce the primaries off the softer colors in the kit to make it playful and fun but you could certainly stay with just primary colors especially for teacher/school cards, how fun would that be?
I hope you will give the color inspos a try when you are playing with your kit this month, they are so much fun to play around with.
