Magical Memories

Michelle here. Today I want to share with you a page I made with the Days of our Lives kit and add on. For me, when seeing the color palette, this kit said Disney. Plus, I am taking a new approach to my kits thanks to my fellow DT member, Madeline. She always thinks about all of her Disney World trip photos and what will match each kit. I think she is really onto something. I think that is about the only way I am going to get my 2500+ photos scrapped. I have been to Disney three times in the last 4.5 years. Anyway, the yellow, red and black is most definitely Mickey in my book. :) I have quite a few pics pulled from a couple different trips. We'll see how many pages I can get made out of this kit.

For my LO, I just knew I had to scrap these photos. This here was a priceless moment. It was our very first time (very first trip) of meeting Mickey Mouse. SO grateful for those photo pass photographers that Disney employs. I gave my friend we were traveling with my camera to take photos with and he missed that bottom shot. I used Heather's sketch, which you will see later this month. It was different for me, as I usually try and group my photos together.

I had fun clustering a bunch of bits from the kit.

I love, love, love the wood veneer stars!!! I need to get myself a full pack to have in my stash. I can see myself using them on all kinds of pages. My title, I pulled a rub on I bought to use with these photos. I am all about trying to use my stash as well. That rub on says it all. These are definitely Magical Memories.

Barb, yes, Madeline has a great approach!!

Adele, I have have just about maxed out a few kits. I think I got about 5 or 6 LOs and a simple card. I think it all depends how much you layer things and such. My average per kit is about 4-6. But I think my pages are pretty clean and simple.

Michele, I love it! And thanks for sharing Adele’s approach to scrapping Disney with the kits. I’m still working my way through photos from an August trip to Disneyland with my youngest daughter and her family; will have to remember this idea of fitting the photos to my kits.

You’re right — the colors are just perfect for these cute Disney photos! I am curious just how many LO’s one can get out of a Scraptastic kit, as I have yet to use one up.
